Yuliya Kononova (Kitchen & Interior Designer)

Yuliya Kononova - Kitchen and Interior Designer - West Michigan Kitchens and Interiors Yuliya Kononova received her Bachelors Degree in Archtecture from the Far Eastern Technical University in Vladivostok, Russia in 2000. She has worked in various areas of the design industry ever since. She has been a designer at West Michigan Kitchens and Interiors for the past four years.

Yuli's husband Jim, is the greatest Dad in the whole world!!! They have two wonderful children. Katerina is almost 8 and is a miniature little Yuli especially in that Katerina enjoys expressing herself through art. Nikolay is five and, again, looks just like Jim except he is three feet shorter. Nikolay loves everything about Dinosaurs and has a big collection that he plays with daily.

Thinking out of the box, is Yuli's favorite way to design a homeowners kitchen or interior. She enjoys expermenting with different textures, colors and materials to uniquely fulfill the homeowner's vision while still meeting their budget. Yuli has the seldom-seen ability to envision how everything in the design fits together as individual elements as well as the “bigger” picture. While Yuli is talking about execution of the design and making it “happen” you might believe she is capable of picking up the tools and making it happen herself.

In her free time, Yuli enjoys spending time with her family. When she is at home she is usually busy being a wife and Mommy while also remodeling her “Victorian” style home. Yuli also enjoys creating beautiful water colors, cooking disgustingly healthy food, gardening, and bike riding.
